This year for my daughter's 18th birthday we did a murder mystery party. Using the roaring 20's prohibition as the back drop. Everyone dressed up and had a character. Only problem was the game was a little too advanced for some of the kids. We did a full course meal and pulled out all the stops.

Last year my daughter and son had their party together and it was his team against hers. They both got t shirts with a safety pin and a marker. They started off doing a relay race. Then we made up codes and once the team had deciphered the code there were 4 answers to choose from. If they got the wrong answer they got a timed penalty. Followed by they had to go get the clued item from a neighbor. Everything is timed. Ex: They would do a sack race. When their team completed the sack race they moved to the envelope and deciphered the code and came up with an answer. They would tear a corner to open the envelope (if the corner they tore was wrong answer they get the time penalty). Inside would be a riddle. They would figure out the riddle and it would be an item like an egg so then they would run to a neighbor(had to be a different neighbor each time) and get the item and bring it back. The neighbor signed their shirt. If the item was money it would be safety pinned to the shirt. Then they would start the next leg of the race. Starting all over.

Also i can't spend a lot of money because my parents are sending me and my sister to Florida and they are buying me a digital camera.thank you to anybody that gives me helpful information!(:
