im needing help with a theme name for the idea we are possibly going with as described below. the party is for a bunch of teenagers of 14-16 yrs old.

we are thinking of making it a morgue theme complete with a zombie Dr. and surgical table. but ive also been making random props such as zombie babies and collecting different bottles and jars and will be making PVC candles too of coarse lol.

the menu will be of body party and other gross recipes, and the meal will be served on fancy silver platters complete with skull candle holders and a silver vase of black roses and white blood dripping roses.
the kitchen will be decorated as a slaughter house type thing and i will be dressed in a bloody apron. soooo can anyone help me tie it all together?

any additional ideas are more than welcome!!!!!

You should have some big guy knock on the door holding a chainsaw then come in and scare all the people at the party. Or have like 3 guys will chainsaws.

    Theme ideas using zombies...

I could see doing a whole "Night of the Living Dead" and for invites: making a fake newspaper front page with ZOMBIE OUTBREAK and a few news stories... or it would be really cool to do a video invite with clips from zombie movies and invite details running across the bottom like a newsfeed with "evacuation zone" address and time... or other funny details.

    Zombie Zone?
    Dead-Man's Party?

Definitely do a search (button is on the upper right) for zombie party ideas - there are lots of them on here!

My neice goes to an Arts magnet school and they did a Zombie Dance. It's an easy costume for anyone to put together. You could have a somewhat normal dance area but use really wicked lighting - blacklights, strobes, red bulbs, disco balls. I like the Dead Man's party idea from Frankie's Girl - I'm a true '80's girl and today's teens probably won't know the song (how sad for them).

I've been doing parties for 6 years now and have evolved them into teen parties as my daughter has grown up. One thing the kids love is my haunted house. They take turns going through a maze with scares around each turn. Last year I ran it entirely with teens from my neice's school - they were awesome! We've used a haunted carnival theme the last two years with lots of scary clowns. My daughter will be 14 this year, so we will be ratcheting up the gore factor and will probably have ZOMBIE CLOWNS.

One new twist I did last year was set up video surveillance equipment in the maze. Then we played it back on our big screen as soon as everyone was through. It was hilarious watching the kids watch themselves. You could set up a hidden video camera in the dance area or other scary area and play it back for them. We also run scary movies - the Grudge is a big hit.

Love your body parts food on silver platters idea!

Body parts and chainsaws are reminiscent of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Another great diversion I use is a game called Lightning Reaction. It is a reflex game where the last person to buzz in gets shocked!

We have thought of adding a "freak" show. The invitation would invite anyone with an unusual skill or talent (lick your elbow, touch your nose with your tongue, juggle, contort, double-jointed, etc.) to perform in a contest. Winner gets a prize.

    Good luck with your party!
