Saw this done locally . It was an informal competition. Create a diorama using those yellow marshmellow "Peeps"illustrating scenes from a Hollywood horror movie!
Red food coloring WAS used! Murder, death, chainsaws an all Peeps "actors" production.
Store window displays of them afterwards! Very funny!

    Gym,

Sounds like a great idea to me! Are there any pics available from the local event? Those would be great to see. It seems like a haunt theme in the making...

The woman who owned the store took some. Where they would be found now, I don't know?

The Washington Post has had a Peeps diorama contest since 2007.

Locals can enter here this year.

Last years winners & runners up. Someone did a Peeps & Prejudice & Zombies last year & the tractor scene from Mad Men.

Gallery for last year is here. PP&Z is picture 18, I forget the Mad Men one.

    They are ridiculously creative.

This year's winners & entries for the Washington Post's Peeps Diorama contest

Someone did a Walking Dead entry called "The Peeping Dead", it's #28 in the slideshow. There's also a "Silence of the Peeps."

Ridiculously creative & fun. Some are sorta DC/MD/VA-centric, like the one about the escalator (we have a TON of problems with our Metro system, escalator problems the least of them), & the Peepco one (our power company is on par with Metro lately, bad service from both especially during the winter storms). But there's plenty non-locals would get, there's plenty of movies referenced, old AND new movies.
