I saw some solar lights called Friki Tiki at K-mart today in the outdoor accessories. Here's a link:

There were multiple sizes in my store.

I saw a lot of cool Tiki stuff at Big Lots and a cool Tiki head ice chest cooler thing at Party City this weekend as well!

I was contemplating having a Tiki party this summer...

Good to know! I'm still kicking myself over not getting a 3 ft tiki statue at Big Lots a few years ago.. I think it was only $20!

I've been wanting to have a tiki/luau for my birthday for the past few years... I think I may do that this year! It would be nice to be able to carry the decor through to Halloween

Tiki stuff used to be huge back in the '60's, when the Territory of Hawaii joined the Union. Sadly, we have lost our appreciation for things of that ilk. But bamboo, tropical plants, Tiki statues, fish net and torches are a really cool decor effect, in my opinion. Our living room in Samoa resembles a Tiki Lounge. You can keep the tiny umbrellas away from the Mai Tais, however...

We're big fans of tiki in general & have several large, heavy cement tikis in the yard & near the carport.

Just this weekend we bought a Trader Vic's cookbook at an antique store. I'm always on the lookout for tiki stuff & this is the time of year to find it at Big Lots & elsewhere.

The hubby is seriously addicted to Tiki Farm & all their artists, not to mention Shag. We're so into it we even own a Witco bar that sorta resembles that one, but that's the style. We're into mid-century modern in general & if we had the money the whole house would be furnished in it.

Ever watch tiki bar tv?....I love those pod vid casts.....I was into the tiki stuff a few years ago but got rid of most of it because believe it or not, I have all this Halloween stuff that seems to take over every square inch....It's a tough choice sometimes but that was mine.....ZR

Those look really cool! I'll have to check our local K-mart to see if we have them too. We had thought about doing a haunted luau (sp?) last year but never got around to doing it. We just ran out of time for planning. Those would be great if we ended up doing it this year!
