I want to state up front that this is NOT my idea - one of the lovely posters on here came up with the game concept... I wish I could remember who so I could give proper credit!
I plan on having this game set up at our party this year. It is not mandatory participation, only the brave will choose to play.
I'm going to get about a dozen or so balloons with helium (I found some great black/orange balloons at Walgreens - the black ones have ghosts and the orange have a JoL face). I'm taking in the little good/bad fate slips (see below) and stuffing them inside each balloon before they inflate them.
If someone chooses, they can pop a balloon for a chance at a prize. I have amassed quite a nice collection of prizes - horror dvds, fancy candy, bubble guns, oragami books (halloween/icky themed - with paper), etc... if they are lucky, they'll get one of those.
If they get a "fate is cruel to you" slip, then they will have to do something silly/gross. I have a really yucky gummy heart, candy mice that look a little too real, or they'll have to dance to the entire recording of "Monster Mash" (lip syncing encouraged)... more stuff to come up with for the bad fates, but you get the idea.
So here is my design for the instructions and the slips.
Feel free to use the images if you want, and if anyone has any good ideas about more stuff to have them do if they get a bad fate, I'm all ears! (just not too mean or gross - don't want to piss off my guests too much!)
