Well since Halloween is approaching quickly and I'm in college now, I'm not going to have the full experience of Halloween as I would being at home. However when I went home last weekend, I went out to Livermore Cemetery in Pennsylvania. I had heard it was the second most haunted place in PA and it was definately creepy. There was some stuff unexplained such as sounds. Sounded like a train was coming on old train-tracks and there was also some voices that really couldn't be explained. My 2 buddies claimed to have seen a ghost skim across the graveyard and we all also saw a lot of white orbs on the ground that lit up around the graveyard. It's an old graveyard (most people dying in 1800's). it was a pretty good scare and really got me in the mood for Halloween. Wondering what's the scariest place you've ever been?
Happy Halloween!!

The Paulding Light, in Michigan.
My front yard last Halloween.
Random abandoned houses in the woods (Michigan, Maryland, etc.)
Belltown, Seattle ... watch out for zombie bums! (ha ha)

Smitty's Basin.
Way back in the upper Uinta wilderness is Smitty's Basin. A lonely place off a horse trail where once stood a lumber mill. The place burned down in a forest fire sometime around the late 1800's/early 1900's But there still lies a clearing where the buildings once stood, and the ground is still covered in a mountain of ash and sawdust.
Abandoned saws, peaveys and other tools lay strewn about, and the bodies from the slaughterhouse (lamb, pig, etc) lay mummified just under the ash. Everything SEEMS like it was just burned down, certainly not 100 years ago. Why the forest refuses to reclaim the area the buildings occupied, is anyone's guess. The rest of the forest area bares no signs of fire.
The place just felt 'off', and the horses don't like it in the least.

An old farmhouse that I lived in, in Farmersville, IL for a short time. Generally "haunted" houses don't bother me at all (I grew up in a paranormally active house, and have lived in others). This one was different though, I was the only one who ever experienced anything there, and whatever it was, seemed to really dislike me. Long story.

I went on a ghost tour once, with author Troy Taylor, during one of the American Ghost Society conventions. It was really a lot of fun, and I wouldn't say "scary", but interesting. We were allowed to tour parts of the Mason's lodge in Alton, IL, and some things happened there that I can't explain (except if it was a hoax, of course). I have more respect for Mr. Taylor than to think that. I think that if it was a hoax, he had no part in it. We were all seated in a meeting room, lights out, supposedly everyone in the building was in the room. Dim lights were on in the hallways outside, and you could see shadows going past the door in the hall from the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, back and forth, as if someone was still out there. No footsteps could be heard, though.
Liberty Church and cemetery (Jacksonville, IL) is kind of creepy, but I went out by myself one afternoon to take photos anyway. Nothing happened, but several people that I know were freaked out by the fact that I did that. This was before the church was moved to the museum location, for those who are familiar with the area and the stories of the church, cemetery, and wooded area around there. I'd guess it was 1993 or so. I'd go back, if I am able to move back to the area.

1. Iraq
2. I moved into a friends 4 plex he bought and next to it was a house he bought aswell. Both were victorian and built in the early 1800's. He hadnt moved in yey and both places needed major work.
Weird stuff always was happening, my first day there i was redoing the hardwood floors one night before i was moving in. I was working in the family room of the 4 plex and heard foot steps in the bedroom. Thought it was odd so I went in to investigate and nothing was there. I went back to work and a few minutes later the bedroom door slammed. I went back in to investigate and nobody was there and the windows were closed. I shrugged my shoulders and went back to work.
The next day me and my GF were working on the place she was in the bedroom cleaning paint off the windows, while I was outside having a smoke. She came down all distraught and spooked out because while she was cleaning she felt and heard heavy breathing behind her, she thought it was me and turned around but nobody was there. She then saw me outside and came down to tell me about it.
We moved in after getting the place fixed up and our kitchen sink would turn on automically. Some nights we would hear toilets flush and showers turn on in the downstairs apts I would go down to investigate but nobody was there and the doors were locked and windows but i had acess cuz my buddy gave me keys to everything.
Our dog would be chasing invisible objects growling and snarling and attacking the walls.
One night I we awoke to a bunch of banging and thrashing down stairs in one of the empty apts we called the police. The police arrived and heard it too, they kept telling the person to come out or they are sending in the dog. The noise didnt stop so i gave them the key and they sent in the police dog. The police dog came running out w/ in seconds crying and whimpering. They called for back up and there was now 7 police cars there. They assaulted the apt and found nothing, they all were spooked out by it.
one other night it was about 3am my dog wanted to go out bad so i took him downstairs to go potty. I lit up a smoke while he was doing his thing. I looked up into the top floor window of my buddies house and there was this demon thing w/ glowing eyes starring at me i was like OMG WTF. I ran up stairs woke up my gf told her she had to come see this. she came down stairs and the thing locked onto her and was watching her moving its head every direction she went. She ran upstairs crying and we prayed. the thing then dissapeared.
We decided it was time to move out after that. My buddy finally moved into his house and his son kept talking about this girl that would wake him up at night and wanted to play with him. They would catch thier son at night talking to somebody playing with his toys. They asked him what are you doing he said playing with my friend, they then asked where is your friend? and he said she heard you coming so she left. Just thinking he was trying to play at night they got mad at him and lectured him. Until one night my friends wife was folding laundry and then saw the girl skipping down the hall. My friend also said one night he woke up and she was standing by thier bed then vanished.
We decided to do some investigation on the place and look up the houses records. It turns out back in the day the house and 4 plex was a funeral home and mortuary. the courtyard was where they held the cremations. My friend was freaked but thought it was cool at the same time.
He still lives there but has a hard time keeping tenants.
