This folklore must never be read aloud.
The Tekken Kami Onna is an idea. Her past is unknown and many have speculated her origins. But she is faceless and lives in the dark and is mostly harmless. There are however, FIVE rules that must not be broken.

1) You must never thinking about the Tekken Kami Onna with your eyes closed.
She is an idea. Once you have heard her story, she will live inside your mind. You must never think about her with your eyes closed because then she will be projected from your mind into reality. She will watch you sleep at night and stroke your hair and whisper your name.

2) You must never say her name aloud.
She is an idea. Projecting her name into something that can be heard will make her tangible. She will be able to touch you. She will cling onto your back and press her face against yours.

3) You must never tell her story in the dark.
Without ANY light, the darkness will become a part of her and she will become the darkness. From then on, she will always be living in that darkness and she will follow you wherever you go.

4) You must never leave her story incomplete.
Leaving her story incomplete will mean there's no end. It means her story is endless. That means her hauntings will be endless and there will be no way of stopping her.

5) You must never tell her story to more than 5 people at a time.
This applies only when you're physically in a group. If there are more than 5 people, not including yourself, in the room, then it means the rule of there being 5 rules, will be broken and consequences will ensure...

This is the story of the Tekken Kami Onna. She is faceless. She isn't real. She is just an idea. Now...how can you deny an idea?
