this will still continue onwards as many beleive they are not the same
one person said this
agree the two pictures are similar, but they are not the same. The two girls are wearing similar clothes, but that's about it. The picture of the girl in the flames is much clearer than the supposed source picture on the postcard. I've used photoshop myself, and am quite good with it, but these two pics are not the same. I've captured orbs and other strange phenomena on camera myself, so I know there are definitely things we don't see that do register on film. Or digital.

i think the dresses look a lot alike, but that was probably the style and many wore it. because of the tilt of the faces they are not the same. but, wasn't it mentioned there was another postcard found where the tilt of the heads were the same? so provide pictures of this postcard so we can compare.

It looks like the same girl to me, I'd say it was a fake.
I find this one very interesting though. I saw a show about it on T.V a few years back.

I think the photo is fake but I don't think it is the same girl.

I agree with Deathtouch and WeirdRob. The girl in the postcard has hair covering her face, while in the "ghost" photo her face can be clearly seen. Their facial expressions also look different to me, and the ripples in the bonnets aren't the exact same pattern. The photo could still very well be fake, and probably is, but I highly doubt they've "solved the mystery." I have no doubt that ghosts exist, but that doesn't mean the picture isn't photoshopped... I know because I've photoshopped similar things that looked just as good (not with the intention of fooling anyone, however).

Absolutly agree with all of you guys, I can see the resemblance in the two styles of dress, and even the clothing, but the two girls are simply not the same. As with most ghost photos (unfortunately for the small percentage that are truly unexplained), the photo is most deffinitely fake. An added "nail to the coffin", so to speak, is that girl in the postcard is too far away from the camera to pick up much detail. Even after being cleaned up on the computer, the image would only keep so much detail after being blown up, and the girl in the fake picture has far too much deffinition to have been one and the same.
Lets see....Magic, miniature horses, penguins, lacrosse, volleyball, and Halloween
.......what, you seem suprised?

"The World's Scariest Ghosts Caught on Tape." I remember watching that show, and that Greencastle picture is one of the few ghost photos that I believe to be the genuine article.
With digital photo editing being so commonplace nowadays, it's tough to immediately establish any ghost photo as hard evidence until it's been thoroughly analyzed by an expert in that particular field.
