Since things are pretty quiet around the forum at the moment, and we have some new members lurking around, I'd like to get an idea of everybody's take on the paranormal.
Are you a believer? A skeptic? or like me, undecided and prefer to keep an open mind?

Please take a moment or two to vote on the poll, and please feel free to post your opinions, or any experiences you may (or may not) have had that sways your opinion one way or the other.

Open Mind here, anything's possible, but there are some aspects of the "Paranormal" that I can't get my head around.
With all the technology we have today we are capable of many incredible things. Things that would have been considered miraculous (or blasphemous) only 100 years ago. We can detect planets circling far distant stars. We can measure the amount of Carbon Dioxide that was in the atmosphere 100,000 years ago. But we can't find a Sasquatch.

I have had too meny strange happenings to not believe. I am also a believer in Christianity. The Bible is full of supernatural happenings and belief in life after death. So Yes I am a believer.

I noticed over the past few days stories in the news about sightings, the virgin mary, in a piece of toast, jesus's face on a corn flake, and yes this is true, the image of jesus, on a toilet seat. Few years back someone cut open,(think it was a cantalope) and there was the image of the last supper.I dont hold much faith in those, but the cantalope was weird.
whats your name?I couldnt hear it very well last night when i was hiding under your bed!
Mommy! Mommy! I dont want to see Grandma!.. and she would scream back" shut up and keep digging!"

Jeffhawk, I hear Ya. My All-Time favorite Religious Miracle was the guy in Mexico who rear-ended another car. He got home and parked his car, went inside and told his wife. When she came out to look at the damage, they noticed that the light of the Carport, shining down on the crumpled fender, reflected back on the wall in the image of the Virgin Mary. It was a miracle. People from miles around came by to pray at the front of the car. Teenagers would jump onto the hood, get the suspension shaking to make the image dance. That told me, right there, if there is a God, an omnipotent, all-seeing, all-knowing being, he has a great sense of humor. If I'm not mistaken, it was an older model Buick. A LeSabre, maybe, or maybe a Skylark. Then again, in Old Mexico, it could well have been a Wildcat. They were big down there.

most likely a wildcat..... My idea of supernatural does not include pictures of Jesus, saints, or the vergin Mary in weird places. If those believers are the only idea of supernatural that a person has then I am not a believer. As for there being a God, and life after death is the idea then I do believe. The far out image of Jesus on grilled cheese or what ever is a bunch of crap.

I am a believer. I've had many experiences. I am, however, a skeptic when it comes to ghosts or spirits - I try to apply every possible "natural" occurrence that could create a "ghost" or a "spirit". If there's no natural reason for something to occur, then I go with belief .

    A fair comment.
When one has discounted all known possibilities whatever explaination remains, however implausible, must be the truth.

....So perhaps that really is Elvis in your cornflakes...
