I know this isn't exactly halloween related, but I'm not sure where else to get some awnsers. Just a little while ago sitting on the couch I felt the back of my neck burning, I reached back and felt a little raised area. Had my boyfriends sister look at my neck and she said there was a long scratch. I did not do this myself! I was just sitting there. I have had some weird things happen over her house before.... but nothing crazy................ Anyone have something like this happen to them or someone they know? Know anything about this type of thing? It's very unsetteling. I looked online and all I could find was people that woke up with scratches on them... I could see how that could be self inflicted, but this? I didn't even touch my neck. It's running top to bottom about 2inches or so...
'Tis now the very witching time of night,
When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out
    Contagion to this world.

It happens. I have had experiences with ghosts but no physical contact.

Sometimes when I am in bed listening to my IPod at night, I feel something walking across my pillows. It feels like it's our cat but it isn't her because she's not in the room. On a few rare occasions I've felt something walking next to me while I'm in bed. It feels light enough to be a cat or a small dog(like one of our mini doxies) but I can still feel that pressure. My husband has said when he's doing the dishes the hair on the back of his neck will stand up because it feels as though someone is watching him. My alarm has also been turned off.

I only got really mad one time because there were 2 nights in a row where something happened while I was trying to sleep. So on the third day I was making the beds and I said out loud "You need to leave me alone tonight because I need my sleep and if you don't I will tell you to leave." Peace and quiet that night. I also thought once that I saw a small child in our basement but I'm not too sure about that one. It could have been the lighting.

I've had this happen to me a few times where I scratched myself and didn't feel it (or was distracted somehow), then later notice a large cut or scratch when it starts to hurt. This could be many minutes later and then I remember where I could have possibly done it. I wonder if this is a similar type of incident.

This type of activity would be a gray factor since the possibilities of how the scratch occurred. I would suggest noting anything before and after any incidents that is always a good way to base what may have happened. If, you are experiencing more than being scratched, I would suggest looking into contacting a reliable paranormal group in your area. I plan on starting a thread on here in regards to paranormal investigation due to many inaccurate techniques used by paranormal TV shows.

And Hannibal, I have experienced the feeling of something walking on my mattress as well. I cannot say it is Paranormal since it only happens time to time. You would need to note any activity and then work on seeing if you can explain it through natural causes.

If I had to guess maybe you leaned onto something where you were sitting you were allergic to say cat hair or similar? And that your scratch was the reaction to it. It may have even been something outside that blew or fell onto your neck without notice? Also too people often rub their nose etc. without having realized they do it.

Lol I love the ghost cat idea. I however am an oblivious threat to myself. I often realize scratches, cuts, bruises some day and not know where the heck they came from. I actually have a couple on the back of my hand at the moment, but I think the neck is a stranger spot for mystery cuts.

LOL no I meant a real cat or some other alergy! But why not the back of the neck from a nail say adjusting your coller, flinging the hair back, or the clasp from adjusting a necklace?

it was maybe a vampire cat?? back of the neck.... Definate vampire cat!!! Get garlic and catnip! Or a vampire ghost cat!!!! Holy crap! Get Ghostbuster and a dog!! But a real dog, not a vampire ghost dog! They suck as pet! Trust me! I had many in my past life!

Sorry... getting a scratch in the back of the neck doesn't mean you have ghosts. As my wife is a nurse, she would diagnose it as a simple reflects that sometimes the body do naturaly that you might not even notice yourself. Allergies, bugs, even fleas can give you a sensations something touching you. Like I mention in another supernatural posting, people beleive what they want to beleive... If you want to believe you had a supernatural experience, it's your believes... But ask, why, again, why a ghost would scracth the back of your neck... really, why not scare the crap out of you by ripping off your legs off or something diffinent. Now, that would make many people beleivers...
