This is my first post in the paranormal section. I wanted to share something that happened to me a few years ago. I was 19 and I got a summerjob working for the New York Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation. I have a History Degree now, but back then I was a kid with a summer job as a tour guide in a hundred year old Mansion built along the Hudson River. One Summer day it was slow and another tour guide and I decided to roam around in some of the closed to the public areas. Now keep in mind...this place is huge (65 rooms and 14 bathrooms built in 1895) So we went threw a secret passegeway that led to the third and fourth floors. up there was storrage and the old servents quorters. They had a problem with pigions getting into the building to nest up in the attec so we could hear a bird in a live trap in one of the rooms. My fellow guide thought we should go into one of the attic rooms. As soon as I touched the door knob I heard a tremendos crash down stairs. So, we were of course startled and ran down stairs. We were the only ones in the house so we were scaired that their was a break in. we looked out the window and found the cause of the crash. There were four 300 pound terra cotta pots that were on the front portico with trees in them. One of those pots had shattered and tipped over. Now mind you, it was a hot humid summer day with no breeze. I am 6'2 and 250 pounds and I could not lift one of those pots by myself when empty. with trees in them impossible for someone to push over. We looked outside and no visitors were around. All we could figure is that some parinormal force did not want two tour guides wondering up in the attic.

Ya thats creepy.
Seems that something didn't want you guys up there...
As I was going up the stair, I saw a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...Oh how I wish he'd go away.

I was in that part of the mansion several times after. I never went into that room though. I guess I was chicken after the tree and terra cota pot.

You got that right. I have a History degree and the more I learn about old places I find that sometimes old buildings and places retain more than just a foot note in the books.
Eventhough I am Dead it is always warm inside my bed.
