Thread: Does anyone else watch "Ghost Hunters"?

deathtouch, i agree, i think amy and chris work real well together. their personalities compliment each other. i got a kick out of them when they were on a ship and they said, okay guys, their sending down the girls. lol. i liked the acadamy. but the people schooling seem to be clueless of ghost hunter shows. you would think they would have watched some episodes to have an idea of what's expected of them. steve and dave were pretty dissapointed in the crew. me too! i will be surprised if any of them make it. i figure at first i didn't like ghost hunters internationals, but now i like it. so i'm going to give this show time. i think i will like it better the more i watch it. anyone rooting for anyone to make it? i think the girl with the long dark hair just played up her sensitivty to compete with the girl who says she is a medium. and i don't buy into the medium either.

I haven't watched the academy yet. I'll have to catch up on it. I wasn't sure if I was going to like International or not, but now that Brian is gone, I definitely like it.

I think GH is a pretty good show. There are others out there that are terrible and involve people antagonizing spirits and jumping at every creak in old buildings. GH has stuck to a forum that I like. They debunk and use logic. They do not jump to conclutions. I like to watch it.

yeah, like i think it is called ghost adventurers. they make a big deal about being locked in. they must feel their creditability is questioned. and some of the things they say are pretty dramatic. it's more like they are putting on a magic show.

did anyone watch the acadamy last night. the girl with the long brown hair saved all their butts when she jumped in there with a solution. she really surprised me. two of the guys did a lot better last night as well. but still have a ways to go. i think i like the show.

I did watch the show last night. I'm not sure. I enjoy it, but I would rather watch more investigation. I'd much rather see GHI instead of GHA.

Sorry if this seems to be off response .. But there was a Poll on Paranormal that wound up getting into talk about Ghost Hunters.. So, Just a recap of what was discussed.. GH has had a lot of issues with the evidence they have provided. Hence, a lot of paranormal groups are separating due to such issues... Well, even though Jason says there is no claim of staging. I do feel in many if his attempts to clear the air with Ghost Hunters fraud claims, that it is likely going to be a separation in teams now.. maybe not separate shows but a team division is likely. There is a lot of heat on Ghost hunters due to a lot of debunking with their evidence. Which, brings strong accusations of staging. Not only the coat tug incident but also when water bottle incident that Meatloaf left behind in the bathroom on one case that mysteriously moved from the sink to the top of the tank on the toilet. Which, was later debunked as staging due to the clips being not the same. Jason stated in Scifake that Pilgrim will do multiple takes while on location with TAPS which is called, "B Roll" footage.

There is a Youtube video showing the issue with the Meatloaf episode which you can clearly see the Bathroom window closed and then after the water bottle is moved the window is open. The bathroom is Ground floor so it is a good chance someone could have moved the bottle from the access of that window. The issue with all of it Jason states that the crew edited the video and used the "B Roll" part after the bottle was moved. Which really does not make sense when you are dealing with proving "Paranormal" activity and so much editing is going on and doing multiple takes as well. What bothered me is how do they get the Entity to do the same thing time after time for multiple takes for having "B Roll" tapes?

Does not make sense when in true paranormal field, you are editing the video and then splicing in a "B Roll" tape. One thing is the paranormal field from personal experience no matter who you are, actions like that makes it hard to be credible as the face value tends to be less credible when it is admitted there is that kind of editing going on.

I forgot to mention even GH and GH international's Donna LaCroix has also been interviewed and on GH international she felt that there is some staging going on but there was a lot of issues with all members of that team. I wouldn't hold any weight to what Donna says. She's been so bitter about her run on both shows, feeling like the production was making her look a certain way. Honestly, if you act like you're afraid of everything...then that's the footage they have of you. No doubt they can manipulate footage...but if you aren';t providing it...it's not there...you catch my drift? To me, she's not a reliable source for anything.

well, what's her diffinition of staging. it might be totally different from yours or mine. seems to me if they wanted to stage, they could do a better job of it. they debunk and spend a lot of time debunking a lot of stuff. and then there are so many times nothing happens. i love the show and will take it at face value.

so i watched the ghost divas, and...donna says she's been told not to bad mouth anyone so she won't. but she spent the whole talk bad mouthing them. at first she seemed to be saying they never staged when she was there, if they had she would have been no part of it, she would have let them have it. later she says they staged one time when she was there that she knew of, she says she cried her eyes out. doesn't say she let them have it or quit. when they asked her what scene and episode they staged, she was silent, [she would have been better to name right off hand an episode], then she said she didn't want to name it right then. ?okay? she talks like money is a big issue. so maybe the opposing team offered her money for this deal. i heard she has some form of arthritis, maybe she needed the money. as far as her being upset because jason and grant have more money, they formed the company. i worked for kmart, walmart, target, and dang it, those corporations all make more than me. lottttttsssssssssss more than me. at the end when she flips out they better not try to get her because she will make them sorry, is that because she has a guilty concious? what was up with that. i like ghost hunters, and i like donna, so i am going to let them hack at it. maybe if i knew them and was there i would see who's what, and have a solid ground to access on. i don't see ghost hunters as losing audience. i love the show and will continue to watch it. i also watched the tape where they are claiming foul. like when grant is trying to pull up the voice on the recorder. if they were staging they could have staged that right out. i try to rewind and never stop on a dime. it shoots further back than i want and i have to play to get it where i want it. that's what it looks like to me. you can try to find fault in everything,
