read my statements on donna in previous posts. to long to repeat. she doesn't in my opinion hold much weight. and, in ghi, because of her ailment she had to leave ghi. she said she's gonna miss everyone and what a great job everyone does and she hopes to be able to come back. she says they're like family. and now that she can't come back she's trashing them. doesn't sound like the same teary eyed girl. you'd think if she was disgruntled she'd have shown some sign of it. i think what we need here is a priest and an exorcism. lol. just joking. i liked donna, but i think her ailment has made her go against her better person. and jayb, back at you-but oh well seems you guy have made up your mind

I used to watch GH quite a bit when it first came out. My mother and I were big fans. Now, as it has grown in popularity I just don't get much out of the episodes any more. And tell me, why is it that more than half the time, in both GH and GHI, when some members actually seem to encounter something they run screaming in the opposite direction? Isn't one of the holy grails of hunting to make contact? Then why flee when something happens and not stay put and hold the recorder out? lol

I've not been keeping up with it lately but it is not surprising to hear that Grant and possibly Jason wish to leave...they can't host the show forever, more power to them.

This said, I still have hope for GH...it was great in the beginning and some episodes were truly cool, yet I find myself questioning much of what they do nowadays. Not saying it's all faked, just that the show almost feels as if it's taken a turn away from legit hunting and aims only to please audiences now (which makes sense, it's just not why I began watching in the first place)

    On GH:

You know I'm a big fan of GH and probably always will be, because I watch the show for entertainment and the show atleast tries to debunk more than fabricate what it finds or shows. I'm an analytic type of person so I look at nearly everything with a certain amount of scrutiny.
Having said that: I have to give it up to Jayb for posting the video on the tug on Grants coat.

I too have a problem with that video, and Grants right arm is suspiciously doing something or actually the lack of doing something before, during, and after each tug happens. Faked or not it is suspicious.

After looking at that video, and all the rest from that site and several others sites, etc... All the rest of the videos, info, including Donna LaCroix's disgruntled rantings, they all seem to have ulterior motives.

After checking them out, I have to ask 1 question:
Which is worse the person who might have faked a ghost or those that make money off someone faking a ghost?

Will I continue to watch GH - Absolutely !!!
Everyone should ask yourself: Do you honestly believe GH has faked every Paranormal event that they've shown?

Not all, no, but when the stakes are high, Grant always seems to "pull" something. Another one I love is when they were in a lighthouse, and Grant walks out onto the balcony, and a few seconds later the chair he was sitting in moves in pulling motion towards the door he just stepped out of. HMMMM, fishing line just like in his jacket? One lie is enough for me, I used to be a huge fan too, but now catch it occasionally, and I'll never look at them the same again. I am just trying to show people that it is a TV show, with sponsors to please, not reality.

As I have said before, I've been a fan of GH ever since it first started, and whether or not the "experiences" are faked, seems a moot point to me. After all, the show was created to entertain and encourage people to open their minds to the possibilities of what might be out there. It has certainly done that, and continues to do that. For my part, I can truthfully say that there have been times when I have said to myself, "Wait a minute, something just doesn't seem right about that", but then I remember that they aren't forcing me to believe everything they show me is true. I mean, the same can be said about Ghost Adventures.

I used to believe everything about Ghost Adventures was obviously staged, especially based on their overacted reactions to every little sound, but now I find myself enjoying the episodes and I am becoming more and more convinced that they do catch real evidence every now and then. That being said, it doesn't mean that they catch actual paranormal evidence in every show, although they would love to have you believe that. Just like GH and GHI, it's really up to the viewers to decide what is real and what has been contrived. To take everything we are shown on any of these shows as legitimate paranormal evidence would be foolish.

With regard to the whole legal uproar between GH and Donna/Brian, I have to agree with Hallorenescence. The whole thing comes off as sour grapes. I think both Donna and Brian didn't think the show would be able to continue without them, and because it has, they have decided to expose it. Really? Are they trying to tell us that while they were on the show, everything on every episode was legit? How many times did we hear Brian say "Dude! I swear to G** that I just saw something", but nothing was ever found on video or recorded to back him up. It was painfully obvious to the viewer that all he was doing was trying to bring attention to himself as this super-sensitive paranormal investigator, when in reality, he was just a poser.

To sum it all up, I plan to continue watching GH and Ghost Adventures for the entertainment value. I love letting my inner investigator out and trying to figure out what is real and what has been created for the viewer's experience. As Fox Mulder used to say, the truth is out there. We just have to use our common sense and not take anything at face value.

Thats a good idea hallorenescene, but it's not going to be me. I'm too much of a GH fan to start a thread like that.
