This article takes a closer look at what they are calling "“Street Light Interference (SLI)" - that is, the apparent ability of some people to cause power outages or interference merely by walking past the light source.

Can this be explained by science? Or is it some unknown psychic or metaphysical phenomenon?

I used to have that happen.

Now, it's radios that have a tendancy to go all wonky when I'm near.

Really? I didn't know that there is such a things as that. I better research about that. That seems really interesting.

I hope to write an article about that once I've gathered enough information.

I hope you could share with me some of your sources.

    Thanks!!!

Appliances such as lamps and TVs go on and off without being touched.

Lightbulbs constantly blow when the SLIder tries to turn them off or on.
This happens to me ALL the time.

Volume levels change on TVs, radios, and CD players.
I thought there was something wrong w/ my TV.

    Watches stop working.
I have to get my watch batteries changed at least 3 times a year.

Children's electronic toys start by themselves when the SLIder is present.

Credit cards and other magnetically encoded cards are damaged or erased when in their possession.
I've had a couple of cards do this, I wrote it off to possibly accidentally putting the magnetic strips together.

The streetlights also flicker or go off when I'm driving or walking under them.

Maybe it has something to do with when I was a kid, my granny had a streetlight on her yard that was metal and I used to like to press my ear up to it & bang on it to hear the weird metallic gong sound.
