Wow - weird story. Didn't know whether to start a demonic possession/exorcism thread or just include here -

LegalNewsline reports that the US Supreme Court has been asked to hear the case of a former Texas woman who claims she was abused during a forced exorcism in 1996. Laura Schubert, 29, says she was cut and bruised and later experienced hallucinations after the members of the Pleasant Glade Assembly of God performed an exorcism on her in 1996.

A medium by the name of Helen Coughlan claims her family was stalked by the ghost of an infamous highwayman, and says the spirit asked her to help clear his name so that he may finally rest. The ghost claims he was an "innocent party" in a murder, and has refused to
"pass over to the other side" while the world thinks of him as a killer.

hhmmm, seems funny to me. if she could reach out to him why didn't she help prove he was innocent and then he would have passed on. an exorcism? am i wrong? isn't that to send demons to the lower place? sounds like some publicity to me, or maybe i watch to much ghost whisperer. love that show.

A hospital has contacted an exorcist to investigated the premises after staff made claims that they were being haunted by a ghost.

that's very interesting. i wonder if they will do a follow up post on it after the investigation. we had an article about some paranormal activity going on in the papers. but there was never a follow up story after the investigation. it was disappointing.
