I thought I would start some threads regarding some of the "icons" of the paranormal and cryptozoological world - so, here we are with the Loch Ness Monster!

The following are some interesting links about the creature and the myth. What do you all think about it? Is there a monster down there or is it all a hoax?

I watched a documentary about this a couple of months back.
I specifically remember a bit where they were talking about the "photographic evidence". The guy who'd taken the picture saw it in a newspaper, and admitted that wasn't his picture. it had been edited to make whatever it was look bigger and more unusual.
it also showed how things like birds and small boats can look like what Nessie is supposed to look like.

Now, personally, I'd LIKE to believe it, but I think it's a hoax.

i have to believe there is a monster in Loch Ness

If anyone asks me I say, in a Scottish accent of course, "ach aye sonny there is definetely a monster here, I know cause I seen it"

Of course I haven't seen the monster, although I have been there a few times.

I know the Loch is deep and wide and all that, but so is Nessie. This story's been knocking around for so long and investigated to death but still, no solid evidence of anything except that......there nay be beasties here!

But its great for the tourist industry.

I'd have to say I do believe. There isn't proof saying that there is a monster down there but if you do a little research there are a lot of cryptids out there that started as legend and then were found and documented hundreds of years later. Has anyone heard of the giant squid?

Here's a new Loch Ness mystery - a weird 'buzzing' noise that is coming from the lake. Is it related to the creature sightings?
