Mermaids may not be the beautiful creatures we thought they were.

Reports of a mermaid in San Jose, while turning out to be fake have nonetheless attracted flocks of people to the marine laboratory at Stillman University.

I'm considering building a mermaid or siren myself... the prop would be a female mannequin, with claws, tail, more traditional in look..with maybe a drop of blood at the corner of her mouth. Attractive to draw attention..while an actor in the monstrous mermaid costume attacks from the other side. Think of Stan Winston's She Creature...a beautiful body to attract and then the transformation to killer.

My problem is I'm having a devil of a time finding a female mannequin that is sitting in the right pose. Most have the legs too far apart and I would like to keep the legs, just build a frame around them. I found one or two on eBay, but they would still require modifying...I don't think fibreglass is easily reposeable...any ideas ?
