BFRO Report 26258: Nightime sighting by a couple along a main highway between South Lake Tahoe and Placerville
A recent sighting near where I live. To think of all the countless times I have driven that road, wondering just what might have lurked in those dark woods...

In the late 70s/early 80s, there often seemed to be movies and specials about Bigfoot on tv, and I would be riveted to them.
This was about the same time I often stayed over at a friend's house, sleeping in a tent in his huge yard next to a small woods. I know now that there is no chance whatsoever of encountering a sasquatch, even if they do exist, in Eastern Canada. Back then, though, after watching all those shows, I was always delightfully frightened that a Bigfoot might walk out of the woods and check out the tent.
Ah, the good old days, when you worried about monsters coming to get you while you slept!Don't be afraid of the dark. That's foolishness. Be afraid of what is in the dark.

I have to agree with the comments made by Tom Stursa.
The lack of muscle definition, particularly on the lower limbs, gives this away.
One only has to compare this photo to the Patterson footage, in which the muscle definition is clearly defined and can actually be seen moving under the skin, to realise that this is a case of "mistaken identity".

Looks like someone in an overcoat to me. Can't even make out hair, frankly. Being hunting season, it's not an unreasonable assumption, either.
