My dad said he woke the other morning at about 4:00 am. He looked around the room and saw someone standing in the mirror. My dads bed is beside the dresser mirror. In the mirror the woman was standing at the foot of the bed, he could see her holding a child. She was short but when you look towards the foot of the bed there was no one there. But when he looked back she was standing at the foot of the bed in the mirror. My dad is not one to lie about things like that. She soon disappeared. He told my mother the next morning. My mother just walked down the hall and scared me. I saw her out of the corner of my eye. LOL She came back with some sugar for me to take. Old mexican superstitions. Now I keep looking down the hall. LOL

LOL @ Scardey cat!!
Hey Blakkheart, from what I understand mirrors are known to be used as doorways between us and the dearly (or not so dearly) departed...perhaps this is what happened and what your father saw. It could have been someone who had lived in the house previously or someone who's passed in your family that was coming by to check up on your family to see that all is well. How did your dad feel when he saw this apparition (after he got past the holy sh*%!, reaction that is...lol) ?"There is more between heaven & earth Horatio, than is dreamt of within your philosophy..."

I told him the same thing! There are alot of people who believe that they are doorways. He thinks it may be his grandmother. He never knew his grandmother, he was very young. My mother just told me something disturbing. He thinks it maybe have been my great grandmother and that the baby, may be my sisters that she "lost". We found out a little bit ago that my sister had a abortion when she was younger. She had run away from home... Now she thinks she better than us. Ha! Whatever! But thats another story.....

It's been said that those who have passed do come back once in a while to reassure/reconnect with their loved one to show that whoever has passed the most recently has been welcomed into the other side and is with family ...perhaps that is what happened and she was reassuring him that the family is all together on the other side...

I have heard a few other stories of people waking up in the middle of the night to have 'someone' sitting at the end of the bed. Not sure what I believe, but it's pretty comforting to think about your great grandmother taking care of the baby on the other side.
