Check out this fairy ring that popped up on my lawn overnight:
![]()
It stopped me in my tracks, cause it wasn't there yesterday, "Whoa, how did these get here and what are they doing on my lawn?" Kinda gave me the heebie jeebies there for a sec because I have the house decorated for a witches theme but then I noticed a couple (and only a couple) mushrooms on my neighbor's lawn too. Be cool if it happened on the day of my party.
So...to turn this into a discussion has anyone ever have any unexplained phenomenal happen while decorating for Halloween?
My daughter swears we've been bombarded by spiders every since we had our Spider Den bathroom last year. Everything from fist size wolf spiders (in the house!) to spider bites to a spider infestation inside our screened patio.

LOL that sure is weird! Can't say that I've ever had anything strange happen while decorating. I'd much rather have a mushroom problem than spiders!

Normal for fairy circles to just pop up overnight. Those fairies know how to party.
I had some unusual occurences whilst decorating at the old place...but those discussions probably belong in another thread. ;-)a plague on both your houses

The only weird thing happening around here is me getting creeped out by my own decorations. There are props and decorations all over the place waiting for a spot in the yard. I can't wait to get them outside because they have been creeping me out from time to time. The worst was the evening my husband put them together while I was sleeping and put a standing zombie at the bottom of the stairs for me to run into first thing in teh morning. LOL

I had to scroll up and check your location - WHEW - Florida - hahaha. I couldn't live with fist size wolf spiders running around. Heck, any kind of spider for any reason (paranormal or otherwise). I get the willies just thinking about it!

I love fairy rings! Mine, in AZ, will last quite a while. Keep them somewhat moist and they'll probably hang out for a few weeks.

^ Really? So now I have to water the mushrooms? lol Although I have heard of fairy rings, I never saw mushrooms grow in a ring like that, in fact, I've never saw mushrooms growing on my lawn before.
According to my research, my soil is infected with an underground fungus. The mushrooms are 'chlorophyllum molybdites' and yes, they are poisonous. And apparently fairy rings are dangerous places and you don't want to step inside one.
