Hi folks,

Thought I'd drop by and share my beliefs in regards the Paranormal, especially Hauntings and Ghosts.

Ever since I was a kid I have had a fascination with the paranormal. I think I got it from my parents, because they have had experiences that they could not explain. My father claims to have witnessed both a UFO and a full apparition, where my mother; she claims to have heard children and the piano play in a building she used to clean when I was a kid.

The UFO that my dad claims to have witnessed was seen by a number of people on the same night he spotted it. He was driving home from seeing my grandmother, when he spotted a light in his rear-view mirror. At first he thought it was a helicopter. But as he kept driving it seemed to follow in his direction. When he arrived home, he got out of his car and saw the light clearly above the house. He ran into the house and got my mother and reached for a camera so that he could take a photo. As he passed the camera to my mother, the light shot off at such a high speed. My father told me the light was in the shape of a cigar.

The apparition my father claims to have seen, was witnessed one Christmas Eve. It was late Christmas Eve and my father went down stairs to check that he had left the camera on the table ready for taking photos of me opening my gifts on Christmas morning. I would have been two years old.

On descending the stairs he looked over at the fireplace and there sitting in a large arm chair was what he describes as a Cavalier type gentleman wearing a large hat with a feather and big boots, smoking a long clay pipe. The apparition turned to gaze at my father before fading away. He later learned that the ground the house was built on was in fact used as a battle ground.

I've had a few experiences myself. My Brother however has had a lot, I don't know what it is about him but ghosts seem to be attracted to him ( I told him it's the light reflecting off his shaved head, the ghosties must be thinking it's the light and want to go into it)

Recently as I mentioned in another thread he had an experience with a growling dog , no apparition just a loud growling. For the last two weeks he's been housesitting for a friend. He was mopping the bathroom floor, when hee noticed a bit on the floor. Before picking it up, he leaned the mop against a bench they have in the room. After he'd picked up the bit and went to reach for the mop, It was gone. He looked over to the other side of the room and it was leaning against the wall behind some piping. He said the rooms a large one, so he didn't put it there. Then the next day whilst he was vacumming the hallway he heard a mumbling, he couldn't really make out the words (it was kinda like a drunk person mumbling).

He's not the only one to have had experiences in that house. Last year other friends of the owner were also housesitting. Their daughter came into the room her Mum was sleeping in and said "she wants the old lady to go away, she won't leave me alone". She was very scared and crawled into bed with her. The Mum looked across the room and could also see an old lady stood in the doorway. She didn't mention it to her Daughter as she didn't want to scare her anymore. The next day they left and didn't spend another night there.

The owners Son also had an experience. He was in bed in the dark and could see a woman in his room. He called out "Mum what are you doing" she didn't reply. Upon closer inspection he realised it was an old woman and hid under his covers trying to call his Mum on her mobile phone.

The owners have also see a figure at the window during a BBQ. The Husband sais to the Wife "who's in the house?" she replied nobody. They went in to check but nobody was there.
