Had to share this...my son came in my room last night telling me he had a nightmare about the mummy guy that's hanging in our dining room all wrapped in spider webs and spiders! He said when he opened his eyes to look around the room was covered in spider webs. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing! What am I doing to my kid? LOL

Did this dream depict something you had done to your Haunt in the past? If not, maybe you may want to re-create it. Of course every child is different but I always go out of my way to show and explain to kids that Halloween and 'spooks and goblins' is all in fun.

Once the season came around I would say something like "Ooo, remember that nightmare you had? That sounded creepy and fun. We should decorate the kitchen, porch, (ect) like that." Then of course make him apart of the process -- shopping for the goods, setting them up, etc.

I like to get my son involved in the 'hands on' dealings with Halloween scenes (of course some are too scary for him to handle) The positive reinforcement of liking his 'idea' and getting him involved couldn't hurt, right?

As many of us parents know, when it comes to Halloween, young children WILL be afraid of some of our props -- but as long as every one knows that it is make-believe then everything works out.

Wow- so strange that my thread got moved. Apparantly my son having a nightmare about halloween decorations is Paranormal and/or unexplained territory. This forum is so weird. Heaven forbid I should list it under general hallween topic where anyone might see it.

LOL. I agree. Your post doesn't seem very supernatural -- maybe someone doesn't like you!

Yes, I came to that same conclusion!

I was going to tell you that my son is 8 turning 9 in October so he knows the stuff is fake and even laughed about it today. I asked him if he wanted me to take the decoration down and he said no. I just got it a couple of weeks ago and we hung it up to see what he looks like and it's still there. My neighbors think I am crazy. LOL
