I went on a ghost hunting trip to Glastonbury in Southwest England. I caught this image at the entrance of the ancient Glastonbury Cemetery. It was in the archway of the gatehouse.

He's clearly an old man with a long white beard. He looks to be wearing a robe (or is it a shroud).

Here's the gatehouse of the cemetery:

I've highlighted the image in purple. Sometimes it helps to see detail:

You can see the rest of the pictures from Glastonbury here. I've got a lot more ghosts:

Here's a drawing I did for the article:

I'm not sure where I'm suppose to be looking. I see a dark shape on the right hand side...but it looks like the gate that is open. You can see it in the second picture as well.

No, you're looking in the wrong direction.
The figure is in vague white in the center of the opening. Ghost are always hard to see, but once you resolve the image, there they are.

Sorry, that just looks like the stones to me. You can see that some of the stones are showing up brighter/whiter around the arch as well. If I have to matrix an image to see it....I don't call it a ghost.

Sorry, it doesn't look like anything to me either. Our minds look for things that are familiar. I see "faces" and "images" in just about everthing I look at. That doesn't mean everything is haunted.

I think it may be matrixing; the idea that our eyes want to pick out shapes. The photo is quite grainy, and, while it COULD be paranormal, there are other explanations for the possible shape that are natural/normal.

A couple quick questions: What did you actually see at the time you took the photo, if anything? Also, was it misty, foggy, raining, very chilly, all 4? Just curious to eliminate a few things that cause digi pics to haze in certain areas.

I do tend to agree with Zeltino that our minds "matrix" images quite a bit in order to make sense of what we're looking at- I took twilight pics at The Myrtles in the front yard under the mossy oaks that you'd swear had ghosties in 'em, but blowups revealed it was the play of light through the tree limbs. Just sayin'.
The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague.
Who shall say where the one ends...the other begins?
