I was just curious to your views on this show on the Travel Channel, if you are familiar with it at all. I watch it when I see that its on, even though I'm not convinced with its authenticity. The host seems like a total goof ball, but some of the places they go to are spooky just to look at. I am not sure about their tools of the trade and how accurate and credible they are. Anyone else watch the show? Anyone else believe its all legit?

I think Ghost Hunters is more professional. Ghost Adventures seems fake. the host is a tool. the investigators seem to be putting on an act. I do not like it.
Eventhough I am Dead it is always warm inside my bed.

Zak and his team think that they're unique by yelling at the "ghosts" and calling them names. Plus there's always someone who hears, sees or feels something and then they act like complete wimps. It's contradictory to their whole hardcore name calling tactics. I think it's as fake as GH but with a younger "tougher" cast.

I've investigated a couple of places that the Ghost Adventures' crew has investigated. They are relatively legit (for being on TV). It is widely known and accepted in the paranormal community that while the teams on TV probably aren't faking evidence, the producers are. In fact, the producers job rely heavily on finding "evidence". I know a couple of people who own places they've investigated and they said they were pretty legit.
When I first saw them on TV I assumed that they were making a lot of it up. Yes, Zack is pretty loud-mouthed, but I think he's just set in the way he investigates and that's how he goes with it. We all have our little ways of investigating. I prefer provoking. Other members on my team like to ask in-depth questions in hopes of EVP answers.

I enjoy Ghost Adventures. I agree that TAPS (Ghost Hunters) seem more professional. But GA is entertaining and I, more then anything, enjoy the locations.

I recently saw a new show with some ex-Chicago cops as paranormal investigators. Maybe called "Paranormal Cops"? Wasn't too entertaining, except being a recent Chicagoan in exile, I appreciated the Chicago dialect.

I use to HATE Ghost Adventures, Zak Bagans drove me up the wall. Everytime he spoke I wanted to crawl through the TV and punch him in the face. Then I saw what started Ghost Adventures which was their 2 hour documentary. It shows them in a different light, I mean they actually ran from something. I think fame and the fans have caused them to be all crazy acting on the show but the documentary and the first few shows show you how they established thier feel in the paranormal.
I can't watch GH they bore me to death and I use to love Paranormal State but they never catch anything. Destination Truth is also a great show to watch as well.

That dude Zak bothers me. But the places they go are unreal to see. I'll have to tune in to those other shows, but it seems that when I have control of the tv for an hour or two a week, its always GA. On an unrelated note, my wife was walking up the stairs to go to bed last night, when she walked back down and asked why did I "shoosh" her? Well, I didnt!..
