In the early 1980's I took a tour of the Queen Mary. At the time the Howard Hughes airplane the Spuce Goose was kept in a hanger on the pier. The First Class Swimming Pool on the Queen Mary is deep in the bowls of the ship. It is in a small area and covered in tiles. The pool room of course is an echo chamber. When the tour got to this space I swear I heard a little girl giggling and singing and water splashing. I mentioned to the guide that it gave an errie and cool feel to the room. The guide looked pale and denied that a recording of such sounds were in the room. Years later I saw a segment on America's most Haunted that had a part about the ghost of a little girl who drowned in the First Class Swimmingpool and is said to be haunting it.

That ship is way creepy....
My H.S. prom was on the ship, and a few of us snuck off to explore...being so late, there didnt seem to be many people around. We got pretty deep into that sucker and it is really pretty erie.
No spook sightings, but I still remember the creep factor very well..
I've been on it during the day, also with nobody around...not as scary as after dark.

I plan on going to see that ship very soon...heck, maybe I'll try to go around Halloween so I can check out the haunted house they put on in the ship now (it looked awesome on the haunted attraction show they had on the Travel Channel a couple months ago)...

They just showed the first class swimming pool and much of the ship on an episode of Gene Simmons' Family Jewels this past Sunday night. Gene was so scared that he made Shannon (Tweed) leave during the middle of the night (they were sleeping in one of the haunted rooms on the ship) and move to a hotel. He was literally running through the hallways to get back to his room because he had left their room to investigate some spooky music and noises he was hearing. They had wanted him to host a regular show from the Queen Mary but it appears that he's too afraid. It was really funny. They repeat the episodes regularly on A&E, so it will likely air again soon.

Maybe he should have put on his KISS attire before he went to investigate the noises he was hearing so that he would have been braver. Shannon was sound asleep. When he met with the guy promoting this the next morning, Shannon wasn't with him at first, so he told the guy that they had to leave the ship because SHE got spooked and wanted to leave during the night. Then she arrived and told what really happened. It was too funny.

At least I did not go running when I experienced sounds on the ship. Ha Ha. I would like to see Gene scared like that. I'll have to look that show up.

It was great to watch. Usually, it airs on Sunday nights on A&E, and they do usually repeat previous episodes. However, I just did a search on my cable and it's not airing at all this week on A&E, so hopefully it will be back next Sunday and they will air that episode. I wish I could remember the name of the episode, but I honestly have no idea. My cable guide always tells me what each episode is about, so hopefully yours will too. If I see that it is going to air again, I will post it here.
