Visual Studio Animation, or VSA, is the program you will need to make your skulls move and talk... It converts an mp3, wma or wav file to "movement blocks" to be sent to the Lynx controller, the SSC-32 sends it to the servos. Basically, you import a song or voice file into VSA, click a couple buttons and VSA creates the little blocks that tell the servo to move the jaw to the words, or make the head nod, tilt, or rotate. You can also use a joystick to import head movements into VSA using EvilBob's Parlay program. VSA is available from Brookshire Software for $55 as a download only, but...
I have one member that's looking for abt 20 copies of VSA, and I know everyone here will be needing it also, if you havent already got it.. so I'm working with Brookshire to either become a distributor (send out CD's of VSA), or arrange a coupon day, a discount on ordering it online. Might be a week or two before we're spun up with either.. How many here still need VSA? You can either post here, or PM me... Here would prob be better, as I'd be able to keep the tally visable for everyone..

As soon as I get setup with Brookshire (waiting for their paperwork) we'll get going. As to cost, the regular price is $55, I'm thinking that $45-$50(at least $5 off)
In the meantime, I suggest those who have not used VSA before, go to their website www.brookshiresoftware.com, download the demo program, read thru the help files(learn how it works), play with it, load a song or text file, then do the waveform analyisis, you will see how it creates the sequence. With your board plugged in, you can use VSA, you just cant save anything..
Jus' a reminder, I wont know if it be a CD or download 'til Brookshire finalizes the account.. This be the latest from them:
Sounds good, let me check with our web developer to see what it will take to
set things up and I'll get back to you with details. We'll do an official
announcement at that time.Last edited by CaptnJackSparrow; 05-02-2008 at 08:38 AM.
