There's a LOT of birthday threads!!!

Any chance we could consolidate them somehow? A monthly stickied thread? A generic birthday thread that the author could change the title of accordingly?

Anything?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Just bumping this because it got moved to page 3 due to the massive amount of birthday threads!

I like birthday threads but it always seems that at a certain time of year there's a ton of them on any given board.

Before I started posting the birthday greetings the only people that would get a birthday greeting were some of the more well known posters or a few from friends. When I started posting the greetings I would include everyone that was having a birthday that day. Talk about a lot of birthday greetings! I started looking at when was the last time the person was active to try to narrow the list down. Now that Goblin has taken over posting the greetings I believe he is using the same criteria.

Most people like to be recognized on their birthday and it has become a happy tradition.

There has never been any opposition to the birthday greetings and since it appears to be within the rules for the off topic section I don't see any reason for that to change.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that this place has birthday threads for everyone that's active & not just a select few. I like 'em here & on other boards.

It's just that non-birthday threads get buried on certain months & sometimes it looks like the Birthday section not the Off Topic section.

I guess since no one else feels the same way & it's just me I'll let it go. I was probably looking for something & had to go to page 3 to find it & maybe I got cranky about. Sorry. It really is no biggie.

It was just a suggestion to consolidate or whatever, & sorry for bumping my own thread, I know it's not allowed but took a chance anyway. It won't happen again.

We have the same problem on my other boards, who gets a thread, do we have one big birthday thread or one for each person, etc. But we're a MUCH smaller board so one thread for each person isn't a big deal & doesn't overrun other things.
