I got served last week with court papers that my abusive ex wants to have unsupervised visitations w/ our son because she has completed her classes. Even thou now currently w/ the the supervised visitations my son constantly gets hurt on a weekly basis.
All I want to do is to protect my little boy from her, every time I drop him off at the visitation I fear for his life.
All of the $ I have saved up for halloween and his birthday has now all gone to my lawyer.
Just need some good thoughts and prayers so that when I go to court next week my son will remain in the safety of my custody.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I'm a parent myself and I can just imagine how helpless you must be feeling. I'm thinking of you with all your troubles, I hope things get better for you and your young son.
As I was going up the stair, I saw a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...Oh how I wish he'd go away.

My thoughts are with you - what a horrible position for you both to be in.

What age range? Like 5 or younger, child age, pre-teen, teen or what? I am guessing not teen from how you sound.

PM me your address and I can swing by with a box of Halloween stuff for your son.
As for the legal problems, I know the courts like thick files full of evidence and documentation. Every time there's an injury, take photos and write up what happened, or at least what you were told happened. If your son is afraid for his safety, make sure that's documented as well. It may be work $50 for a psychologist to sit down for an hour and write out an assessment.
Example 1:
My aunt had to go through a lot of these same issues when her husband remarried. His new wife was (still is) a real b!tch and treated the two boys like crap whenever they visited. It got so bad, my younger cousin would get physically sick when a visit was coming up. With some documentation from a psychologist, she finally had the ammunition to renegotiate visitation and explain the damage that was being done.
Example 2:
My wife's best friend had dealings with her ex and their daughter. He wanted to see her (he's a total creep and untrustworthy) so they had to pass papers in court and get the lawyers involved. (Yuck!) What she was able to do in the end was get stipulate very controlled visit parameters, such as short visits, public places, family member monitoring, etc
