Thread: Southern California Heatwave - WTH?

I really thought we were going to have a nice gradual ease into fall and skip the harsh summer (for the most part). Then yesterday hit - holy moly!! It was 109 degrees in Simi Valley and it was UGLY!!!! I have absolutely zero interest in being outside and working on my stuff and with setup looming this Friday, I will have to suck it up buttercup and get to work! Anyone else struggling??

We're not as bad as you guys in SoCal but we hit 100 yesterday and expected to again today. Some relief is coming, back into the 80s this weekend.

Just last week I was thinking about how mild the summer has been this year and then this happens. Glad I didn't have to go to the San Fernando Valley this weekend.

Yeah Yesterday was 113° today was suppose to be 100° but I don't think it hit that it was very over cast and gloomy. The 113° was horrible Hottest its been here in a long time. I really don't want to see that again. Would love a nice cool down pour.

I've lived in Huntington Beach most of my life and this summer was the coolest I've ever experienced. I was wondering if we were going to get that September heatwave we usually get every year and whamo. I went to go run an errand on Monday and the thermometer in my car said it was 101. Yesterday was cooler but with the humidity it felt like the summer days I spent years ago in Washington D.C.

Oy vey, the summer we had in/around DC this year!!

I tried to get started early but when it's 104° outside with 70% humidity, I just wanna stay inside w/the AC on full blast.
