    Hello,

Just returned from Paris and I took some reference photos and video of the catacombs for inspiration and reference. I don't have time to do it this year, but my haunt next year will be a recreation of this amazing place. A lot of the photos are pretty dark as they have rules against flash photos there... but I figured these images would be of interest to you all and possibly useful as well.

    And for some historical background:

TheGarnisher, you should post those in a separate link. That is worth a sticky. IMHO

Thanks printersdevil, I'd be happy to, but as I don't post here as often as I like, I'm unfamiliar with the procedure. How would I post these in such a way that it could be a more permanent resource?

The Catacombs are amazing, I spent my birthday in Paris last year and I will be returning next year for Christmas. Definitely worth seeing if you are ever there.

I waited in line for hours to get into catacombs and they closed it 3 people ahead of me for the day. It was Bastille Day the next day so then it was closed again. I missed them since I was backpacking into Belgium the day after. Thanks for sharing the pics I need to go back there I was so close!

Those photos are so mezmerizing! It was wonderful of you to share these (especially for someone like me who will probably never see something like that in person.) Thank you.

Beautiful pics. Amazing that something like that is just under the city streets. There are so many interesting sites and history over there. Makes the United States' history seem kinda sad in comparison.

    Thanks for sharing those.

Thanks everyone, it was an amazing experience. We actually got there super early and were first in line for that day so we were able to get a lot of great pics with no people ahead of us.
