How do I get ride of these things ive been trying for months!

so far they have gotten into my garage tore everything up
getting in my garden so i fenced it
my dog has attacked a couple of them and they still come back!
1 hopped the fence and went after my lil dog but my big dog grabbed it
i have pelted them w/ rocks, golf balls, sling shot,

My city doesnt allow trapping so thats a no go
i cant shoot them because its illegal
I laid out poison behind my fence but they wont touch it
bought a ultrasound dterent and that didnt work
called up the fish and wildlife they couldnt help
called up animal control and they wont help
called up a exterminator but they cant do anything because of the no trapping law

    any ideas?

Pellet gun. It won't kill them but they will eventually get tired of being plinked

I'm an animal lover and believe in using humane methods, I understand raccoons can be a huge nuisance though (a friend in the states had a problem) plus if you have small children the worms they carry are dangerous. The water deterrent in the 1st link below gives off a 35ft blast and seems to work for a lot of people judging by the reviews. Also they fear coyotes (due to being their lunch)so it might be worth trying coyote urine granules. Somebody on Amazon used the granules and said they haven't seen raccoons for weeks in their review. Luckily the only visitors I get are a Hedgehog and the birds I feed.

I cant do the bb gun I have a great shot but it only takes one ricochet and im paying for one of my neighbors windows lol

I have sprayed them with the hose but they jusy hop of the fence but find other ways to get in, i would have to buy atleast 10 of them motion detector sprinklers.

I tried the urine trick my own and cougar urine but that didnt work. I will give the coyote one a try.

there are 8 of them dang raccons but the problem is caused from my neighbors feeding them so they bound from house to house. my neighbors dont have kids so they dont have any worrie. I have talked to them and politley asked them to stop but they wont. these coons are so used to being fed by humans they are not afraid they will even come up to you.
I am an animal lover myself but it has crossed my mind of playing raccoon baseball. but it would be just my luck if somebody recorded me giving them baseball bat therapy and posting it on youtube lol!

You can't even use humane traps?

My in-laws had them at their beach house more than once & all they could do is cover up any places they could get into the attic.

I recall a few years ago sitting on the front deck of the beach house & watching a giant raccoon crawl up the side of the house & go in through a vent, right after he/she stopped, looked over at me & seemed to be saying "Hey, how's it hanging?" & then went into the vent into the attic.

I set up a hacked motion sensor with a green light connected to a palm sander, the loud noise worked for the deer, racoons are a bit craftier. I plink mine with an airsoft gun when they get into my garbage. I think the best thing is vigilence, don't leave any food around for them, board up ways they can get in and keep your eyes peeled, most animals will avoid a hassel and go somewhere else for easier pickings. Good luck

Check your neighbour isn't breaking the law some states don't allow the feeding of wild animals. You'll find it very hard to get rid of them as long as they're getting a free and easy food source. I know it's very tempting to feed cute animals but not at the cost of upsetting the neighbours, these animals are scavengers and are quite capable of finding their own food.

    typical law:
    (3) Intentionally placing food or garbage, allowing the placement of food or garbage, or offering food or garbage in such a manner that it attracts black bears, foxes, raccoons, or sandhill cranes and thereby creates a public nuisance is prohibited.

    http://www.mrsc.org/subjects/legal/n...-wildlife.aspx

    http://www.washingtonvotes.org/2009-HB-1885

    http://wdfw.wa.gov/living/raccoons.html#conflicts

It clearly states in the above link:
    Don’t feed raccoons.
Feeding raccoons may create undesirable situations for you, your children, neighbors, pets, and the raccoons themselves. Raccoons that are fed by people often lose their fear of humans and may become aggressive when not fed as expected. Artificial feeding also tends to concentrate raccoons in a small area; overcrowding can spread diseases and parasites. Finally, these hungry visitors might approach a neighbor who doesn’t share your appreciation of the animals. The neighbor might choose to remove these raccoons, or have them removed.
