I decided to take the truck. It will limit what I do but thats probably a good thing. Partner 2 was in the same school this week and he told me that the hotel that we stay at has plenty of stuff around it so I shouldnt have to drive around all that much. Then again...he doesnt have the same interests that I have so there is no telling what he was talking about.

I will have to unload alot of stuff out of the truck before I leave but I was going to do that anyway. I dont want it parked for a week, even if its behind a fence with all the weapons and ammo that I carry in it much less most of the equipment.

YIKES, that would suck if your truck got robbed. yeah, i'd say unload it.

I have to say that this has been the most tedious school I have ever been through. They are going to be installing new fingerprint computers at all the crime scene units so we are all having to go and learn how to use the new system. So far the systems seems great. However the course of instruction--------I could do without.

For instance yesterday it took us 45 minutes to go through one screen. Everything on the screen was self explanatory but the instructor went over every bit of it. Several times. Basically there would be a place where you could type a persons last name. The instructor would talk about it and then kept typing in last names to show us...this is where you type the last name. Then they would hit enter after typing in the name and show that it would bring up anybody with that last name. Then they would type in a first name, showing that anyone with that first name would be brought up. Then they typed in the first and last name, showing that anyone with that first and last name would show up....then they would go through the whole thing again. I felt like asking what would happen if I typed a first name in the last name box and a last name in the first name box but I have a feeling that would have completely thrown them off.

We have a little more to go over today and then we switch to learning about a different program. Partner 2 went through the course last week and he has told me that the instructor for that part loves to talk about himself.

I dont know who or how we are going to teach partner 1 about this system. It is a lot more complicated than the one we are using now. And he really only has a basic understanding of that one. I am constantly having to show him how to do stuff on it and he has been using it for ten years compared to three years for me. I think that might be a job for partner 2.

That was done so that the Partner 1's of the world will try to understand the system.

He would be completely lost here.

Sounds incredibly complicated and tough to catch the gist of You should have, since that probably would have been the higlight of the class
