My mother is a teacher at the high school I graduated from. She is also the drama coach, and I continue to help her with tech work for their shows.
Every year we do a show in the fall and a show in the spring. Also our fall show is normally the first or second week in Nov. With all of the hype around Twilight, this year she was looking at doing Dracula but isn't sure she can get away with the script because of our family and elderly oriented audience. A few years ago we did Sleepy Hollow (the book version not the movie version) and it was fine.
Do any of you have any ideas for cool Halloween type shows that a high school could do?
I really want to do The Nightmare Before Christmas but it is a musical, there is no script for a stage show, and I'm not writing one and going up against Disney.
Please note this is a High School show so stuff like Freddie Kruger and Chuckie is out.

How about Edgar Allan Poe as inspiration for a school play? maybe a modern take on his works
Saw this link, I'm not sure about your school grades in the U.S though. This one says 4-8?

Some other links for high school plays: Dracula script, 4th link down)...I didn't check all of them but there seems to be a lot of scripts on there.
