I am not sure where this post belongs, so mods feel free to move, I thought I'd start here.
Hey guys, my daughter is involved in a group that enters a float in the local Christmas parade every year. They actually won last year, (partially because they borrowed one of my fog machines to blow smoke out of the chimney of their gingerbread house , yes, it was my idea) So this year, they are looking to kick it up even another notch, of course. The theme this year is Sounds of the Season (pick a Christmas song) so they were thinking of Winter Wonderland...but part of the idea is blowing/falling snow.
Any thoughts on how to do blowing "snow"? The setup is a big pickup pulling a hay wagon, and they are looking to have the snow blowing set-up on the back of the pick-up bed blowing out over the scene on the wagon.
I would be so grateful for any thoughts and ideas, what makes the best snow: potato flakes, soap flakes, confetti??? And how do we get it to "blow"? I have had not much luck on the web so far doing research.
You are the most talented bunch of problem solvers I know, so I thought I'd let you all have a go at it.
THANKS!!!

After last winter, around our parts I'd say your best bet is to just wait, it'll come on its own!

Just kidding (sort of). Looks like there are snow machines on the market (that look a lot like fog machines, interestingly enough). Unfortunately, they seem kind of expensive...maybe you could rent one from a party place? Just a thought.a plague on both your houses

Hiya - don't know a thing about making snow, but you can check out Larry's affiliate site: Christmas Fan Club. They may be more adept at answering this for you!
Good luck!Haunt to Live ... Live to Haunt
