So...I walk into Micheal's at about 4pm the other day looking for a frame. As soon as I walked in the door I could hear it.......faint screams, a hint of a Transylvanian accent, witches cackling
They are setting up the Lemax display!!!!!!
I (literally...and I mean as in I really did) RAN to the aisle from which the sounds were emanating, and stood there jumping up and down, clapping my hands (yes, folks, I am a grown up
). One of the employees walked by the end of the aisle, saw me, and backed up and stood there just looking at me.
As I turned to look at her, and she said, "By the way, we close at 9." and walked off. LOL!!!![]()

Great story MHooch! We stopped by our Michael's a few days ago and heard the same familiar sounds as you. They had most of the LeMax out, along with a few other decor items. Fun to look at. I liked the Ferris Wheel a lot. While my youngest son and I stood there looking at the stuff, a couple of ladies walked by and one said "I can't believe they have Halloween stuff out already. That's ridiculous." I felt like saying "about as ridiculous as Christmas stuff being out in September?"
Michaels is always good for an early Halloween fix.

I'm glad someone has a happy storie.
I walked in the halloween aisle and the guy setting up looked really mad. I can't say I blame him. I was picking everything up.
MHooch your a hoot.

Heh heh heh...I love hearing stories like this...hey Hooch! How are ya.
There is a decoration store near me in Pasadena. I forget their name, only been there once, but they deal in holiday decorations. Around Halloween they set up a couple of areas with props working and sound effects and stuff. Flashing lights and weird howling noises! I am thinking of visiting them come October...!"WHAT'S out there?"
"I don't know.......it was little and brown, and low to the ground!"

I'm sad.
I walked into Micheal's today to pick up a bunch of stuff for my haunt and invites when I strolled over to the Halloween section and it looked like it was robbed! Half the stuff was gone already.
And Lemax? Forget it! There was maybe 10% of what they had started with. It's not even October yet!
