beth, sorry your hubby's having such a hard time. It's hard to see those we love suffering.
Meeps, I'm SURE that Halloween comes to non-prop makers, it comes to ME!
A friend texted me this morning and said that Cracker Barrell had some Halloween goodies on 75% off, but I am so tired from 3 12's in a row that I can't even get in the car and go check it out. How sad is that?We moved into the new hospital this week and it has been pure hell at work. So much bigger and a lot more ground to cover, but no more staff to do it with. I'm getting too old for this s*#t, good thing the new desk job is only a week away!!
Today is for sitting on the couch and relaxing...back to it tomorrow!

I can't believe Cracker Barrel even has any Halloween stuff left at this time. But they do get some nice things now and then. Bought a pumpkin tiffany-style lamp there 2 years ago.
I haven't done anything productive this weekend! Got suckered into visiting my parents overnight and now I'm watching Pirates of the Caribbean on their HD. I could use a vacation somewhere like that...

Thanks Hooch, you really put my mind at ease

Bethene, I got chills just from the description of fileting! Geesh, sounds more like torture.
Barbarella, kind of hard to avoid soccer. The world soccer cup is similiar to the superbowl for europeans except it lasts more than a month! The youth I work with all watch, so I get paid to watch with them
Having a heat wave here! Pffffffffffffff I looked up what 30 celcius is and its only 86F!! Feels a lot warmer than that! 5 days in a row with temps above 25 with 2 of those days being 30 or above constitutes a heat wave in Holland. Makes me wonder how I handled those 90 degree days back in cincy lol The dutch claim it's a different sort of heat.

HAHAHA.... that what we say here in IOWA.... its a different kind of heat! HUMIDITY in the 90% ! yuk.... although right now, I would like a little more heat.
One day of awful heat and humidity then 10 days of rain! Probably exagerating that a bit but not by much... Corp of engineers is in town watching the river levees. 3 years in a row ! Whats up with that? We are becoming more like a tropical zone! Need to plant rice!
Other note... not so good.... Best friend just found out she has cancer of the mouth. Can't really talk about it yet.. Not much info yet.
We've been best friends since school. ( long time)
Imagination cant even touch what it would be like without her

Lynn, here's hoping that your friend has a short treatment and speedy recovery.
It's been a real adventure this last week with moving into the new hospital. What a trip!! I am absolutely exhausted. Thank goodness I start my new job next week.

Lynn: sorry to hear about your friend. Hubby just found out yesterday that a good friend of his has cancer too. It hit him really hard as well.
Hooch: What new job?
Still sitting in the heat there. They changed the forecast and say that the temps tomorrow and saturday will be around 35 celcuis. I'm melting....melting....mel...
At work, we've been working on a plan to have our office moved to one of the general purpose rooms that the residents now use. Hubby and I made some cool sketchup drawings to help sell the idea. The plan was approved yesterday! Today we have our monthy meeting and expect a visit from the director. Should be fun seeing him sweating it out in his 500 dollar suit

well Meeps, instead of working as an emergency room nurse I am going to be doing something that they call case management, it has to do with making sure that admissions meet criteria for medicare/medicaid so that the hospital gets paid. Whole new world, but most of that world takes place in front of a computer, no more 12 hours on my feet pushing 500lb people up and down hallways. You need more brains than brawn for this job, and I gotta tell ya...my brawn is tired after 20+ years!

I guess you mean Celsius, and I can't convert but I know that's HOT!!!!!
Just back from a lovely BBQ party with friends on a clear balmy summer's evening. The host usually has a HUGE fireworks display, but this year it is just too dry. He said that's a good reason to have another get together, after it rains and the fire danger has passed.
