    I saw that on the news. Very sad, and from what I understand very uncommon in the UK. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that these kinds of incidents are on the rise all over.

    It is terrible
    and yes jdubbya, you're right; it's extremely uncommon for this type of thing to happen over here, but of course we all wish it wouldn't happen anywhere.
    I'm sure I'm not alone in finding this sentence very chilling knowing what followed :"he calmly shook their hands and said: 'There's going to be a rampage tomorrow.' "


    The one that comes straight to mind is Dunblane, 1996 I was about 9 years old at the time, and following the awful event, the school fitted decent locks on all doors. It takes something so sad to make people even think about safety in some cases.
