Thie character that inspired this tome was also featured in the Pixar animated film "Up". The long, lost Amazon Explorer Percival Fawcett, I'm sure, inspired the character of Charles Mundt in the film.

I just finished The Cove, by Catherine Coulter (no relation to the film documentary by the same name). The story started off very strong and I was hooked, but then it went so completely off the rails that it ended as a smouldering wreck.

I just finished Dead in the Family the 10th and newest installment in the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. Greatly entertaining series, lots of fun.
