I've been fortunate enough to have seen a lot of the World, but in only two countries did I ever feel "unwanted" - Burma and Iran. Look at this article:

The phrase "Rule of Thumb" is taken from the Islamic Holy Book, The Koran. According to Muhammad, a man may beat his wives, but he must not use a stick that is thicker than hid thumb. In Saudi Arabia, women are still not allowed to vote. In America, women did not vote until 1920, after the Suffrgatte Movement.

She broke the law and was given punishment as well as all the others arrested, women and men. They all knew the laws about parties, clothing and music but they chose to break them. Yeah the laws are unfair according to our beliefs, but they are the laws of that country regardless.

I know that smoking pot and drunk driving are illegal. I also know that people do both of those things on a regular basis. Does that make it unjust for the police to arrest me if I drink and drive or smoke pot? No. I broke the law, I get arrested, I get punished.

The origin of the phrase "Rule of Thumb" is unclear but I've found sources that indicate that is it not a rule in avocation of beating ones wife, nor is it from any religious text.

Violence against a woman just because she is a woman is wrong.
If a woman breaks a law she should be punished for it and not given an easy time because she is a woman.

I stand corrected on the "Rule of Thumb" debate, Dogman, and here's a video that demonstrates that Islamic Law ain't all that harsh and unfair after all-

I guess a few earthquakes is a small price to pay, reveal away ladies.

my wife must of found out about the revealing flesh thing causes earth quakes because we never have tremor's around here LOL and there is no reason to beat women or pet's but sadly it happens far too much in this world

Good point, UK, humanity never would have survived the '60's if this were true. Bikinis, Microskirts, Ban the Bra, Nude Beaches, all signs of an imminent Apocalypse.
