Earthquake of 6.9 magnitude.
Felt it here in Huntington Beach as a very long, slow rolling motion - quite similar to being on a small boat in a lake. Just kind of kept one's feet moving beneath them.
Anyone else feel it?

25 miles from the epicenter, on the second floor of my apartment . Forget feeling it - I couldn't even stand up. Not much apparent damage, though, aside from broken windows and cracked stucco.

It's just a matter of time, UG. I've seen where the experts have predicted a 94% chance that a massive quake (8.0 or better) will hit So-Cal in the next 30 years.

Argh...I know it too...what's maddening is, they've been saying it since at least the early '70s - we're long, long overdue according to geologists. It ain't gonna be pretty.
Whew! Terra and bfjou812, if we ever have a quake over here, and you DO feel it, just assume the left coast has fallen into the Pacific...and all of the people in Vegas are surfing to Denver.Hell is an eternity of getting up at 4am to nothing but decaf coffee...
