this morning I lost my best friend,Jake.He lived a good life of over 13 years.6 months ago he was diagnosted with lukemia,and his spleen rupshurd.I got him to the vet just in time to save his precious life.he woke me this morning, in time to collapes in my arms.i dont know what ill do with out him in my life.Jake i will alway love and miss you.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your furry friend.

I feel for you. Loss of a good companion is a hard thing.

I am so sorry for your loss. Jake looks like he was a real sweetheart. He will always be with you in spirit.

Jeff, i am so sorry... we lost our boy boomer (cocker spaniel) 2 years ago, he was 16 yrs.old, and we lost our snow( himalayan) 4 years ago, she was 18 yrs old.. it was like we had lost our children.. not everyone can understand a statement like that.. but my heart goes out to you.. we were with them at the end, and that did give us some comfort. i hope it does the same for you.. he was where he wanted to be ( with you)

Jeff, I'm soo sorry to hear about Jake. I'm going through the same thing here with our cat. Last night we had to rush her to the emergency hospital and today she is at the clinic. We will most likely have to put her down this weekend. I feel for your lose and remember, you aren't the only one here crying today.

So sorry to hear of you loss. I know Jake will be always be missed but he died the way he wanted with you.

13 and half is a full life for a Golden Retriever, mine died a month short of being ten a few years ago. They are great dogs, even with all the shedding. I had to have mine put down, I couldnt say goodbye, my girlfriend did it for me, she was a wreck, she loved him too. Life can be cruel sometimes.
