Got a laugh out of it but that is no replacement for a history book and a teacher, and why did B. Franklin look like he was gonna whoop some @$$.
We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside of us

I had a history teacher that used to do this kind of thing. I just loved his classes. This video reminded me of that.
I'm not saying it's a replacement for a lesson but a neat way to introduce the subject. Seeing one of the founders as Alice Cooper just cracked me up!

This is confusing to me. I've got two super vague reactions to the video. I don't know if you are thinking I'm crazy for liking it or the video is crazy.
I always loved novel ways of teaching history and I thought some people would like it. Sorry.

Well, I liked it!!
#1, I love the song Too Late To Apologize so that helps #2 There is absolutely nothing wrong with changing things up and making things more interesting and fun to learn them. Seriously, I remember how boring high school government and history classes were. I wanted to DIE! and I LOVE history. Maybe in high school if my teacher would have done something (anything!) to make learning this subject a little more interesting I would have learned more. I thought it was a fun spin on things and enjoyed this video!
* I need to clarify that by saying "changing things up" that I did NOT mean change history, I meant changing the way in which something is taught.

you CAN'T CHANGE HISTORY!!!!!! and the revoluntionary WAR was a long ,hard fought bloody time in our nations history which should NEVER be used as PARODY.. it is disrespectful... for me it just proves my thoughts as to what is being taught in the class room today and how it is being taught... if kids today NEED to be taught this way, our nation is in SERIOUS trouble..the need to be entertained so you can learn about your nations history is very sad.. my future grandchildren are being taxed without representation. that is what OUR FOUNDING FATHERS wanted to stop, and if your busy listening to the music you WILL miss that FACT. not angry with anyone here
it is just a very serious subject for me...and by the way, the REVOLUNTIONARY WAR IS VERY INTERESTING WITHOUT ANY HELP FROM A ROCK GROUP.just to prove how stupid the song is to the moment in history KING GEORGE NEVER TRIED TO APOLOGIZE....

your welcome terra, i hope i didn't upset anyone, that was not my intention.. i try to keep my feelings to myself on subjects like this, but since you asked i thought i would put it out there... i do not think you are crazy for liking the video. i like the original song very much...i just believe that children today and even alot of people in their 20s are bombarded with visual, instant gratification. how sad that a person hasn't read the writings of our founding fathers.. or the words of martin luther king jr. or the diary of anne frank.. how many people know that the song star spangled banner was a poem, written not in 1776, but in 1814 during the bombardment of fort mchenry.. or that the song teenage wasteland was about vietnam, not the intro for an IT commerical.. todays education system makes me very sad...
and those in the education system who push this crap sadden me even more.. i thank you for understanding, truly i do
