RIP - Catcher in the Rye was such an important book. I hope they can find a way to publish his other writings.

How sad. Holden Caulfield was my first literary love. He was just so...sensitive and sad and angry.

Wow! I totally missed this. JD Salinger...Dead...solely responsible for the assassination of John Lennon, and therefore, the man to blame for the Beatles never getting back together.

Y'see, the guy who murdered Lennon, Mark David Chapman, was obsessed with "The Catcher in the Rye". If only he had read "Dracula" or "The Invisible Man" or "Lord of the Flies".
