What is your favorite memory of 2009?
For me, it would have to be my trip to California in October. It was my first
time flying....that was an adventure in itself. It was beautiful up there! I got
to meet friends, who, up till then at been little more than typed words on a
computor screen. We toured the Santa Cruz boardwalk and the Redwood
State park.....I had a great time! It saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time
and the giant redwoods. They are hugeeeeee trees! Up till then, I had never
seen them except on tv or in books! My last day there I got to do some
Halloween shopping....and a little Christmas too. I just wish I had more than
three days.....there just wasn't enough time for everything! If anyone doesn't
think I had a good time......just take a look at the boa pic!![]()

Downer... I don't have a distinct "good" memory. It's been a really crappy couple of years, but 2009 was a really bad year for me and my family.
Sickness, hospitalizations, job woes, home repairs, father had a heart attack, depression, more sickness...
I'm going to be very glad to see it gone.
Just hoping 2010 is an improvement and not a continuation.I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002

My favorite memory this year was watching my daughter, in cap & gown, walk down that aisle to receive her degree from Clemson Univ! And she was offered a job the week before!! Doesn't get any better than that, for this proud momma!!

Mine would be watching my older son play the Star Spangle Banner Hendrix style with his guitar during his Homecoming game this year. Of course he Rocked It! However what we were most proud of was how he handled the awkward situation when a girl who was determined to sing the Star Spangle Banner and was told 'No" decided she would do it anyway, when it was his turn to start she took a Mike and started singing it. Well he looked confused at first but then stood, faced the flag, let her finish. At this time the announcer was told what was going on and he then had the audience remain standing, and announced my son would be playing now. Thats when he not only showed her her little stunt wasnt going to ruin his moment but also showed her and everyone else how that song is really done
He handled that with class and was a true gentleman. SO FREAKIN PROUD!!!
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

My wife (mostly my wife) and I built two beautiful homes that sit in a wooded lot with a stream in the back yard. And as everyone already knows the housing market was awful. In our area there were 50 homes put on the market that were the same size and price in 2009. Of the 50 homes only 4 homes sold. Of those 4, 2 of them were ours! It’s not only one of my best memories it was a huge relief. Anyone looking for a builder?

Tough year on our family as well. Immigration hassles, Breast Cancer and a Tsunami. Need I say more? The "highlight" would be seeing my son get his Master's Degree in May. However, 2010 is gonna be excellent!

Mine was when I stepped onto the showroom floor at Transworld for the first time. I turned to my hubby and said, "I want to stay here FOREVER!"
