Johnny Thunder just posted a story about a guy dressed as Santa robbing a bank/ I recall an old movie based on that premise. It's called "The Silent Partner", and it's an unknown gem. But my favorite "strange" Xmas flick would be "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence". It's about two men, a Japanese Captain who runs a POW Camp in Java during WWII, and one of the prisoners. The POW is an Australian soldier played by David Bowie. An excellent film based on a novel called "The Seed and the Sower". In the book, it is revealed that the men were brothers in a previous life, but in the film, you need to read that into it. Awesome musical score by Ryuichi Sakamoto, as well. At the time, Sakamoto was the David Bowie of Japan, and he portrays Captain Yonoi.
Can anybody recommend something?

Yep, I ditto Die Hard. Plus, 'Simpson's Roasting on an Open Fire', their first episode. I looked it up, it aired in 1989. Boy, am I getting old!

I'm rather surprised. Where's "Christmas Evil"? What happened to "Black Christmas"? That one's a Cult Classic, one of the very first of the "Body Count Genre. It inspired "When A Stranger Calls" to be made. Y'know, where the Slasher calls his next victim from within the same house. If you're a fan of the Hallowe'en films, Black Christmas is one you'll appreciate.
Apparently there was a remake in 2006 that fell flat on it's face.Wolfman
