Does anybody remember this? A lot of us older types learned about the tragedy watching Monday Night Football -

I wasnt even born until 1987, but my dad was, and still is, a huge Beatles fan, so I was brought up from birth with the music of the Beatles, plus their other projects. Needless to say it rubbed off on me!

Such a tragic loss of a very very talented musician and entertainer, I believe if he was still here, he'd still be putting out records.

He led a bizarre life. He was killed on December 8th, 1980. That's 13 years TO THE DAY that the landmark "Magical Mystery Tour" album was released.

The guy who shot him was named David Mark Chapman...

I was 13.....someone told me John Lennon was shot dead....and I said,"Who?"
I knew who the Beatles were at that time, just did not know the individual band members.
Interesting how tragedies make us look deeper and learn more.
