I've got friends in Holland who's kids are happy campers today. St. Nick comes on December 6th for them. Or not, depending which side of the Naughty/Nice list they may be on.

If they've been naughty, Isn't some black chap supposed to come down the chimney and hit them with sticks or something?

LOL! No, I think "Black Peter" as he's sometimes known, leaves the sticks for the parents to mete out the punishment.

I don't think he's Dutch though...I think he's from Jamaica.

He comes on Dec 5. He doesn't have elves but has black Piets as helpers.
If you are bad, the black Piet will put you in St Nick's sack and take you back to Spain with them.

I must have been bad this year, off to Spain next week (if the car is fixed) then on to England for lots of cider and yuletide fun. So are you going to decorate fro christmas now MsMeeps?

We are hoping to put out the christmas stuff this weekend. They just finished renovating the kitchen, shower and WC. We've been trying to put the house back in order the past few days. Oh and cleaning! What a mess they left with all their sanding and drilling!
