Thanks Nox Arcana ! If that doesn't motivate me to decorate for Christmas - nothing will.
You know you have a successful haunt when the ADULT visitors pee their pants.

We hve LOR computerized lighting so we do a simple clean X-Mas display. This year we also threw together two songs for the fourth.
But we don't go big or do the inside of the house for anything but Halloween.

We don't consider ourselves "Christians", so we don't "do" Christmas. Oh, a couple strands of red lights because they look good with the landscaping. And, three years ago, my daughter and I did a 6 1/2' plywood cut-out of a the Grinch that we stood up out front.
Christmas? Bah, Humbug!Wolfman

Yeah I'm somewhat the same way about it too, though I do enjoy the lighting part. As far as a tree goes I rationalize that by keeping in mind the original pagan practice of it along that the strings are "fairy" lights, and NEVER a star at the top but a big bow or the like.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

Only Holiday I celebrate period is Samhain "Halloween", so it's the only holiday I decorate for as well. Although once we get into our house I plan on trying a black Yule tree with Pagan/Gothic/Victorian decorations but that's when and if that happens, but I do not Celebrate CDay.

Christmas Attraction Advice using Imagineerieing's 'Frosty' –
11-01-2009,02:00 PM
Hello all,
After coming off of Halloween with a successful run of Imagineerieing's Magic Mirror computerized puppet effect, I have decided to do something for Christmas using their "Frosty" computerized puppet.
I would like to reuse the vestibule setup I used for Halloween (See "Magic Mirror Help" thread here), except theme it for Christmas of course.
I am not sure if I should do something live or automated. I would like to run something for the weekends of December (if live).
Unlike Halloween, there really isn't much foot traffic in my area, it is mostly car traffic. Most people that do walk by generally wouldn't walk up to the houses, they would just admire the Christmas lighting and displays from the street.
So the general idea would be to have people come up and see the attraction in the vestibule.
I don't know if I would do something live or automated as Imagineerieing's product can be operated both ways.
If it is something automated, I probably would run it 2 weeks every night prior to Chistmas. If it is something live, I would do it once or twice each weekend before Christmas.
Anyway, I am looking for ideas and suggestions.
Thank You,
Geo
