That's it ! I'm moving. Can't get the good foam sheets here, now can't get the good outdoor ornaments. Sunny California isn't all it's cracked up to be.
You know you have a successful haunt when the ADULT visitors pee their pants.

Bah Humbug! Halloween kicks Christmas in the a$$!!! One of the best things about Halloween is the lack of pressure....you can just do a single pumpkin or go all out and it's fun! Christmas is pressure all the way round....not to mention it breaks the bank and you HAVE to put up with family. UGH!! I'm so dreading it.......and it coming round the corner.

I grudgingly decorate (think I may convert my motion raindeer into a wolf....hehehe) and I take everything down the day after boxing day. Good riddance!

I put out quite a bit for Christmas, a lot of lights, flashing snowflakes, reindeer, lighted garland, etc. I used to have many more Christmas decos than I did for Halloween, but I've been catching up quick in the past three years - I have to be careful, or I'll run out of storage space!

We had almost NO tots at our previous home, so decorating seemed kind of pointless. Since moving to Alabama it's become a lot more fun, and my display has gotten bigger every year!!

I hope I can pull off everything I have planned for this year. One of the best things I've learned from Xmas decorating is how to fill a space, and how to make the biggest effect with what you have. Halloween is especially fun cause you can use music, lights and fog!!

I decorate outside for Christmas with large wooden cutouts of Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, presents, and a lighted Christmas tree. I also have a nativity scene with angels and then a large lighted star on the house. All of this is spot lighted and the house and bushes have icicle lights. The inside of the house takes me forever to decorate.

I also decorate at least the front double doors for all major holidays. Most of the big holidays I have a lot of indoor decor, too. I do have some yard stuff for Easter, Thanksgiving and Valentines. I am into tablescapes so have tables decorated for each.

we moved into a house in a small town. didn't have time to decorate for halloween and just put a tree up for x-mas. so we had been there for awhile and so when i did decorate for halloween, they took it in stride. then after 9 years we moved in the month of aug. to a different small town. i went all out for halloween. everyone was like-i can't wait to see what you do for x-mas. when they saw we only put up a tree, it kind of unsetteled with them. finally i decided since it is a new neighborhood i might as well get with the program. i threw out some blow molds and some ceramic stick characters i had made, plus we put up our tree in the window as usual. my daughter said thanks. guess they had been questioning her about it too. i do put up some very sentimental things inside every year. so over the last few years i have after christmas bought some different colored trees. want to do a halloween christmas some year. but the trees are coming in handy for my theme this year. but you know, i have seen a house at christmas time that puts a tree in every window. i kind of liked it. so this year i will be putting up my green, red, pink, and white trees in different windows at christmas time.
