The Netherlands has sent you their crown prince, priceless paintings from the masters and has shipped over countless antique ships to help celebrate 400 years Henry Hudson.
The dutch media is full with all the activities that will be going on this week.
I'm wondering how the 'regular' New Yorker is viewing this or if they even know that its going on!

MsMeeple: I must admit, I didn't have a clue this was going on. A little embarrassing, since I live in the "Hudson Valley"!

Was in NYC for three weeks, heard nothing of it.
You'll have money and all that money can buy.

Don't feel bad. A dutch reporter spoke to New Yorkers on the street yesterday and only ONE knew about the activities!
Can you imagine what NY would be like if the dutch had held onto it? haha Wall Street would be the redlight district. Broadway would be lined with coffee shops. And the landscape would be doted with windmills!

Shoot Meeps, I'm way over here on the West Coast and I knew about it, but that's because the US Navy took part in the activities as well, plus I have an "in" with the local dutch mafia here!
